Henry is a member of what is commonly referred to today as the greatest generation of Americans. He grew up during the great depression. For a while, the family children lived on a farm in Kent, CT where Henry attended a one-room schoolhouse. Later, he attended and graduated from Stamford High School.
Henry was patriotic and very proud of his service to his country. During World War II he spent 3 years overseas in the China, Burma and India Theater of War as First Sergeant of the U.S. Army’s 886th Signal Company. After the War, he worked at Electrolux Corporation in Old Greenwich as a factory foreman and later as Superintendent of Manufacturing.
