Heroin Seized, Greenwich Police Arrest Couple in Greenwich Restaurant Parking Lot

Police say they confiscated dozens of bags of the drug; one suspect was free on bond for pending narcotics charges.

Dozens of bags of heroin were seized from a man who Greenwich Police said was selling the drug in town.

An upstate Connecticut couple was arrested in the parking lot of aWest Putnam Avenue restaurant by officers who were investigating heroin sales in town. Police had obtained an arrest warrant for the man’s car, cellphone and person.

Officers executed the warrants when the couple was found in the parking lot of Wendy’s restaurant, 420 W. Putnam Ave., about 9:30 p.m. May 14, according to a police report.

Police said they seized 57 bags of heroin from Pedro N. Torres Jr., 27, of Borowy Road, Oakville. Jenni Marie Cosmos, 25, of Clark Street, Wolcott, was described by police as Torres’s “co-conspirator.”

They each face charges of illegal manufacture, distribution and sale, and illegal possession.

Torres was held in lieu of $50,000 cash bond. At the time of his arrest, Torres was free on $50,000 bond set on possession of narcotics and sale of narcotics charges following his arrest April 29 by Watertown Police, according to the Connecticut Judicial Branch website.

Cosmos was released on written promise to appear in court.

Both were issued May 22 appearance dates.
