In Honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month
Breast Cancer Alliance and Greenwich Merchants Partner to support Breast Cancer Awareness Month with GoForPink!

Breast Cancer Alliance’s (BCA) GoForPink in collaboration with the Town of Greenwich and many merchants, kickoff Breast Cancer Awareness Month on Monday, October 1st, with a series of events throughout the month bringing the community together for an educational forum, dining and special days of shopping raising awareness and critical funds furthering BCA’s mission of eradicating breast cancer.
This year, GoForPink is a month-long and following BCA’s launch events on October 1st, many merchants will be hosting their own shopping and dining days in October contributing a percentage of their proceeds in addition to donating items to the annual BCA Benefit Luncheon Auction (scheduled for October 30th). Merchants who support BCA will display window signs and an updated list of special shopping and dining days will be listed at BCAgoforpink.org.
“Since its founding in 1996, Breast Cancer Alliance has significantly contributed to the successful treatment of and quality of life for breast cancer patients,” said BCA President Mary Jeffery. “While survival rates are at an all-time high, 30% of those diagnosed with breast cancer still face metastatic disease. BCA will not rest until number is zero. We will continue to fund some of the most cutting-edge, early stage research in the country. We will continue to seek out and fund brilliant medical school surgeons who decide to specialize in breast surgery. And we will continue our education and outreach efforts to those women and men who might not other have access to mammograms and other breast services. We are committed to our unique mission, knowing we have a direct impact on women's lives today and for the future."
