ID Of Driver Killed In Lake Avenue Crash Released: Greenwich PD
Police released the identity of the woman who died Tuesday night in a car accident on Lake Avenue.

GREENWICH, CT — The woman who died in a car accident on Lake Avenue Tuesday night has been identified as Serena Bechtel, 52, of Greenwich, according to police.
Police said Bechtel was driving north on Lake Avenue on Tuesday when her 2013 Chevy Suburban went off the road and struck a stone wall and tree. Bechtel was pronounced dead at the scene.
Bechtel was the co-founder of Above and Beyond Management, which helps people sort and declutter items before a move or sale.

Previously, Bechtel worked in the Education Department at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, was the Director of Membership at The Autry Museum of Western Culture, worked at Doyle and Sotheby’s Auction houses, and was most recently a decorative arts appraiser with O’Toole-Ewald Art Associates, according to the Above and Beyond Management website.
The Greenwich Police Crash Reconstruction Team is investigating the accident. Anyone who has information is asked to call Officer Roger Drenth at 203-622-8014.
