The storm at one point knocked out power to more than 9,000 residents, caused flash flooding conditions, and knocked down trees and power lines throughout the state.

Connecticut is experiencing a lull in the stormy weather Wednesday morning, but rain showers are expected to return this afternoon, and don't look now, but there is another major rain and wind storm in the forecast for Sunday into Monday, says WTNH News 8 Meteorologist Gil Simmons.

Simmons wrote, "Showers come back in this afternoon with highs in the 60s to around 70! I’m expecting unsettled weather through tomorrow followed by sunshine on Friday and Saturday. Another big rain and wind storm coming in Sunday and Monday!"
