Josephine Carlucci Fantin, 77; Greenwich Native, Church Volunteer

A memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, July 18.

Josephine Carlucci Fantin of Greenwich, died on July 13, 2015 at the age of 77, after a tenacious battle with cancer.

Born in Greenwich on Feb. 2, 1938 to Leonard Carlucci and Minerva Romeo Carlucci Facchin, Josephine was a lifelong resident.

She graduated from the Greenwich school system.

She married Antonio “Tony” Fantin in Windsor Ontario, Canada on July 28, 1956. They lived in Windsor for a brief time and relocated to Greenwich. They were lovingly married for nearly 59 years. Josephine’s main focuses in life were caring for her husband, raising her three children and volunteering at church. Josephine’s faith brought her great strength. “Jo” was a loyal friend who brought comfort and joy to all who knew her. She will be remembered for her laugh and her infectious smile that could light up any room. Jo enjoyed traveling and visited many countries with family and friends.

Josephine is survived by her loving husband, Tony, her three children, David Fantin (Robin) of The Woodlands, TX, Michael Fantin of India and Nancy Fantin of Greenwich, as well as her grandchildren Garrett and Ariana Fantin. She is also survived by her siblings, John Carlucci, Palmira (Chicky) Facchin Krois and Rosemarie Facchin Birdsall (Bruce) as well as numerous nephews and nieces.

Her brother, Joseph Carlucci, predeceased her.

A memorial mass will be held at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 4 Riverside Ave., Riverside, on Saturday, July 18, at 10:00am.
