"Today, we gather to celebrate not just our diverse cultures and the rich tapestry of backgrounds that make up our community, but also the values that unite us: pride, respect, and appreciation for one another," Julian Curtiss Principal Eduardo Calderón said, according to a news release from Greenwich Public Schools.
"We must continue to emphasize the importance of standing up for what is right," Calderón added. "Encouraging our children to speak out against injustice - whether it be bullying, racism, or discrimination - empowers them to be advocates for change.
