CT Weather: Updated Memorial Day Weekend Forecast

Here are the latest details on the upcoming holiday weekend weather forecast and some big changes are on the way.

Some major weather changes are on the way and in this case change is largely good news. Connecticut will see plenty of sun over the next few days and the Memorial Day weekend, while not perfect, is looking better than originally expected. There remains a chance for a rain shower or two on Sunday and Monday but it looks like we will remain largely dry both days.

That is definitely good news for the remembrance ceremonies and parades planned across the state this holiday weekend. On Saturday, temps could approach 90 degrees in parts of the state, which is a big departure from a few days when we were dealing with a cold rain and temps around 50 degrees.

The National Weather Service says to expect "dry weather with mainly clear skies," through Friday.

"As the high begins to shift offshore tonight and into the start of the weekend temperatures will begin to climb above average. By Friday afternoon, most places will reach the lower and middle 80s, with 70s further east and closer to the shoreline. The humidity will also climb noticeably higher during Friday night and into the start of the weekend."
