Mary F. Monaco, 104; Member of AARP in Riverside

Mary F. Monaco, 104, passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2015.

Born on April 23, 1911 in New Canaan, CT, the daughter of the late Ottavio and Adelina (Franco) Forlivio.

She was predeceased by her husband Sabattino Monaco.

Mary worked at the former Machlett Laboratory in Stamford. She was a member of the Rosary Alter Society at Sacred Heart Church and a member of the AARP in Riverside, CT as well as a member of the National Council in Stamford.

She is survived by her three daughters Adeline G. Santamaria, Divina L. Buchetto and Vincenza M. “Babe” Siciliano; her sister Helen McConnella; 13 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

Mary is predeceased by her son Renaldo Monaco; brothers James, Ottavio and John Forlivio; sisters Frances Russo, Paula Nicastro, Angelina Nicastro, Louise Thompson, Josephine Casutto, Maggie Nicastro; and two granddaughters Sally DelPietro Santamaria and Linda Orrico Santamaria.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at 11:30 AM at Sacred Heart Church, 37 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford. Interment will follow at St. John’s Cemetery, Darien, CT. Relatives and friends may call at the Lacerenza Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford on Tuesday, March 24 from 9:00 - 11:00 AM.
