In Memoriam: Edward P. Gunnip

Edward P. Gunnip passed away on January 13, 2016 at Greenwich Woods.

He was born on August 5, 1926 to Edward Joseph Gunnip and Catherine Wilson Gunnip in Stamford.

Edward served in the US Navy during WW II. He worked as an assembler for Electrolux and he was a concierge at Town and Country Apartments.

Edward was predeceased of his wife Angelina of 53 years, and his son Edward Joseph Gunnip.

He is survived by his daughter Kathleen Ferris, his son Christopher Gunnip, and his grandchildren Ryan and Courtney Ferris.

Edward was a lifelong member of the VFW Post 672 in Brewster, NY and the 9th District Veterans in Glenville, CT, and avid Jets, Mets, and Rangers fan. He enjoyed his trips to Mohegan Sun.

Visitation will be Friday January 15, from 4-8 PM at Castiglione Funeral Home, 544 Old Post Road #3, Greenwich. A Prayer Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Saturday January 16, at 10 AM. Entombment to follow at St. Mary Cemetery, 399 North St., Greenwich.
