GREENWICH, CT — The Greenwich Police Department has released crime and incident statistics for the month of January.

"Our patrol data indicates that the most active shift for addressing crime related calls in January has been during the day (7am-3pm/8am-4pm)," the department said in a Facebook post. "The most frequent crime related calls received by our department in January were for larcenies, closely followed by motor vehicle thefts."

  • Total calls for service: 3,444
  • Burglary: 3
  • DUI: 6
  • Larceny from a motor vehicle: 7
  • Motor vehicle theft: 10
  • Domestic violence incidents: 15
  • Motor vehicle collisions: 88
  • Medical calls: 408
  • Motor vehicle stops: 675

Arrest/infraction data

  • Juvenile arrests: zero
  • Adult arrests: 46
  • Misdemeanor summons: 17
  • Motor vehicle infractions: 276
  • Motor vehicle warnings: 446

Police said they issued the most citations to drivers for "traveling too fast."

Additionally, 10 cars were reported stolen in Greenwich for the month of January, and eight of those vehicles were recovered.
