Obituary: Generoso A. "Sonny" Faugno Jr., 89, Of Cos Cob

Generoso A. (Sonny) Faugno Jr. of Cos Cob, Connecticut, a beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away Saturday, March 16, 2019. He was 89 years of age.
Born in Stamford, Connecticut on March 29, 1925, to the late Generoso and Theresa (Luciano) Faugno. Until his retirement he enjoyed his years working as a carpenter and was an avid bowler. However his greatest joy and treasure was in his family.

He took pride in preparing and gathering his family around the dining room table for his famous "Sunday Gravy." Bowls and platters filled with traditional Italian foods lined the table, while echoes of laughter filled the room.
Thank you Dad for teaching us what it is to be a good man, husband, and father. You gave us an amazing life, filled with love and a lifetime of memories.

In addition to his parents he is predeceased by a brother Robert, sister Barbara Ann and a granddaughter Kristen Marie Faugno. He is survived by his wife Bernice (Vadala) Faugno, sons Gene (Deanna) of Stamford, CT, Joseph (Maria) of Bedford Hill, NY, Michael (Dee Dee) of Stamford, CT , David (Jessica) of Greenwich, CT, seven grandchildren, Kelly Ceci (Steve), Nicole LaLuna (Lee), Jessica, Michael Jr., and Andrew Faugno, Charli, and David Faugno Jr., and great-grandson Gabriel Ceci. In addition he is survived by his sisters Margaret DePoli, and Carmella Cavaliere and several nieces and nephews.
