Obituary: Jessie Chapman, 94; Greenwich Resident

Jessie McDowell Chapman, a resident of Greenwich, passed away peacefully Sunday July 14, 2013. She was 94.

Born on Sept. 11, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Ora and Boyce McDowell.

Mrs. Chapman is survived by three children, Arnold Chapman of Colorado, Deborah Roselle and Diane Pradia, both of Connecticut, 12 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Chapman was the widow of the Malcolm M. Chapman. She also was predeceased by six siblings and her son Edward.

Friends and family may call upon Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home, 2900 Summer St, Stamford, from 4 to 8 p.m., Friday, July 19. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 20, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Putnam Cemetery 35 Parsonage Rd., Greenwich.
