Obituary: Joan Lois Nedoszytko, 71; Retired Greenwich Hospital Nurse

Joan Lois (Gunther) Nedoszytko, a resident of Greenwich, passed away peacefully on Aug. 16, 2013 surrounded by her family after battling a long illness. She was 71.

Mrs. Nedosytko graduated from New Rochelle High School in 1959. She attended the Greenwich Hospital School of Nursing from 1960 to 1963. She worked at Greenwich Hospital from 1960 to 2007.

She is survived by her loving husband Richard J. Nedosytko of 44 years. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her four children, Richard J. Nedoszytko Jr. (Melissa), Robert Nedoszytko, Jennifer Lundgren (Phillip) and Stephanie Nedoszytko. She also leaves behind five grandchildren—Lynn, Michael, Joseph, Tyler and Elizabeth.

Family and friends may call at the Castiglione Funeral Home, 134 Hamilton Ave. Greenwich, from 3 to 8 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 22. A funeral service will begin at 7:15 p.m. Aug. 22, at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer Association or to Hospice of Greenwich.
