Obituary: Richard J. 'Dick' Bonnett, 90, U.S. Navy Veteran

The following obituary of Richard J. "Dick" Bonnett, 90, of Swarthmore, PA, was submitted by his family:

Richard J. 'Dick' Bonnett, of Swarthmore, PA passed away Monday, April 17th, 2017 at the age of 90.

Mr. Bonnett was born on May 24th, 1926 on Fairmount Avenue in Philadelphia to Donald and Cecilia Bonnett. A U.S. Naval Veteran of WWII and the Korean War, he retired from General Electric after 40 years of service at their 69th and Elmwood location. He and his wife Frances were married for 65 loving years and enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends. Dick was also a lifelong golfer and avid reader.

He is survived by his loving wife, Frances Panko Bonnett, his sister, Rita Donohue (Columbia, Maryland), brother Robert Bonnett (Maryland) and his nephew Ed Panko of Greenwich, CT.

Richard was predeceased by his siblings Donald Bonnett and Cecilia Nedeloff.
