Old Greenwich School Principal Leaving

Principal Patricia Raneri will leave effective July 1.

GREENWICH, CT- Old Greenwich School Principal Patricia Raneri announced that she has accepted a principal position at East Ridge Middle School in Ridgefield.

The move will be effective July 1.

“I have thoroughly enjoyed working at Old Greenwich School," Raneri said. "It was certainly a difficult decision to leave because it has truly been an honor and a privilege to ‘grow up’ with the children and families of such a lovely community."

Raneri has been the principal at the school for 10 years.

“Tricia Raneri will be missed for her tireless commitment to what is best for her students, staff and their families," said Superintendent William McKersie. "Tricia always could be counted on to advocate for and deliver on the needs of Old Greenwich School."

A search for an interim principal will begin immediately and hiring for a permanent principal will begin at the start of the hiring season for 2017.

Raneri oversaw a number of initiatives at the school including a student ambassadors program and Pathways to Empower, a program designed to foster resiliency mindsets. She also led the implementation of instruction and school data teams and oversaw the district's 1:1 Digital Learning Environment implementation at the school.
