Police Investigating Mail Fishing Incident In Greenwich

GREENWICH, CT — The Greenwich Police Department is investigating a mail fishing incident in town that occurred Tuesday. Police said any mail that was placed in the mailbox outside 41 W Putnam Avenue may not reach its final destination.

U.S. Postal Inspectors have been notified of the incident, however anyone who placed any type of check or payment in the mailbox is advised to immediately contact their bank and put a stop on the check, police said on Facebook.
