Renovations To Greenwich Train Station Complete: See Inside
The renovations were part of the overall $30 million Greenwich Crossing redevelopment. Here's when the train station will reopen.
GREENWICH, CT — The Ashforth Company has completed renovations to the Greenwich Train Station as part of its $30 million, multi-phase Greenwich Crossing redevelopment. The station is scheduled to reopen Jan. 30.
The new station hours are 4:45 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 5 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday & Sunday.
Designed by Beyer Blinder Belle, the project aims to improve access and the overall experience for commuters and visitors while serving as a gateway to downtown Greenwich.

First Selectman Fred Camillo told Patch the new station will serve as "the gateway to New England." He praised the Ashforth Company, the owner of the property, for their collaboration on the project. Construction on Greenwich Crossing began in October 2024.
"It's certainly going to be transformational for that area of town," Camillo said of the renovated train station. "I want to thank the Ashforth family for working with the town and really being a great partner on this because they've not only gone ahead and made plans, but they reached out to us early on and we spoke with them. They really kept us posted every step of the way."

Camillo said it was important to have the project "fit in with Greenwich and what we're doing around town, especially on Greenwich Avenue."
Camillo's tenure in office has seen pedestrian safety, accessibility and landscaping improvements on Greenwich Avenue, as well as the addition of outdoor dining, which has been a staple each year even after the COVID-19 pandemic. Camillo has mentioned in the past a desire to connect Greenwich Avenue down to the waterfront.
The broader Greenwich Crossing project also includes plans for a 5,000-square-foot anchor restaurant with outdoor seating, renovated storefronts and new landscaping around the retail areas, street and train platform.
Renovations to the remaining storefronts are nearing completion, while construction of the restaurant and landscaping is expected to continue through early spring 2026.
"In the coming months, the rest of the building will be finished and you'll see a nice restaurant in there, and some outdoor dining and just a beautiful building that will be there for generations to come to enjoy," Camillo added.

The Ashforth Company CEO and President Ryan Harvey said in an announcement "this station represents far more than a renovation – it’s a reinvestment in Greenwich and the daily experience of everyone who passes through it."
"We’re incredibly grateful to the residents, commuters, and local businesses for their patience and support throughout construction," Harvey said. "Opening the station is an important milestone, but what’s most exciting is what comes next: the continued transformation of Greenwich Crossing into a vibrant, connected destination that will serve the town and region for generations."
Although the station will reopen Friday, the new interior elevator is expected to be operational by March, according to The Ashforth Company. Metropolitan Transportation Authority elevators on the platforms will remain open and accessible from both sides of the pedestrian bridge.
"This project reflects the strength of collaboration and craftsmanship across our entire team, and we are extremely thankful for their incredible work and the instrumental support of the Town of Greenwich and the Greenwich Building Department," said Andrew Ashforth, CEO & President of A.P. Construction and Co-Chair of the Board of The Ashforth Company. "This renovation reinforces our long-term commitment to the town and our confidence in its future."
