Restroom Vandalized At Bruce Park Playground: Police

The Office of the First Selectman said the restroom suffered "extensive damage due to an act of vandalism."

GREENWICH, CT — The men's restroom at the Bruce Park playground was closed for a day this week after it suffered "extensive damage due to an act of vandalism," the Office of the First Selectman said in a tweet.

Deputy Chief Mark Zuccerella of the Greenwich Police Department said a mirror was broken above the sink. The incident happened between 6 a.m., on June 19 and 9 a.m., on June 21, he said.

The town announced the closure of the restroom on Wednesday, and by Thursday morning it reopened.

There are no suspects or leads at this time, Zuccerella said, and nothing suspicious was noted in the area by patrol officers in the previous days.

The cost of repairs for the mirror was not known.
