River House to Host Communications Workshop for Caregivers of Alzheimer's Patients
The free 'Effective Communication Strategies' program will be presented by the CT Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association.

Communication is more than just talking and listening – especially when it concerns people with Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia.
Caregivers in Greenwich are invited to join Tania Paparazzo, Southwest Regional Director of the Connecticut Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association, for a presentation on “Effective Communication Strategies” on Wednesday, July 29 at the River House Adult Day Center.
Among the topics to be discussed are how communication takes place when someone has Alzheimer’s; how to decode the verbal and behavioral messages delivered by someone with dementia, and strategies that help the caregiver communicate at each stage of the disease.
