CT Weather: Southeast Portions Of State Getting Clobbered Now
Here are all of the new updated weather watches, advisories and warnings for this morning.

The National Weather Service has issued updated advisories, watches and warnings for Connecticut that stretch into this evening in some parts of the state. A Tornado Warning was issued briefly, and has since been cancelled for parts of Northern Connecticut in Windham County by the Massachusetts border.
The worst of the storm appears to be east of Guilford along the coast of eastern New Haven County, Middlesex and New London counties. In the western part of the state, clearing and drying out are expected early this afternoon but flooding concerns persist. As of noon, 2,500 Eversource customers are without power including 650 in Vernon.

A Tornado Warning was issued Saturday morning for parts of Windham County and there is a concern that a tornado may have touched down right over the Connecticut border in Massachusetts.

* At 1118 AM EDT, trained weather spotters and National Weather Service Doppler radar indicated very heavy rain across the warned area. Rainfall of 3 to 4 inches has already occurred, and up to another inch is likely. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly if not already occurring.
* Some locations that could experience flash flooding include...Guilford, Colchester, Clinton, Salem, Chester, East Haddam, Haddam, Lebanon, Westbrook, Killingworth, Sprague, Bozrah, Lyme, North Lyme and Montville.

* Flash flooding can be expected in locations that experience successive thunderstorms moving through. Locations across Southern Connecticut that have already received substantial rain in the last couple of days will be particularly vulnerable.

* Through this afternoon.
* Showers and embedded thunderstorms with pockets of torrential rainfall will impact the region this morning lingering into the afternoon.
* Pockets of torrential rain will be capable of producing 1 to 2 inch per hour rainfall rates. This will result in the potential of localized urban as well as small stream flash flooding if torrential rain trains over portions of the region.
A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.
You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.

The Flash Flood Watch continues for
* Litchfield County in northwestern Connecticut.
* Until noon EDT today
* More rounds of showers with the rain heavy at times will occur through this morning. There will also be chances for embedded thunderstorms. Rainfall rates in excess of a half inch per hour will contribute to flash flood potential.
* Flash flooding of small streams, creeks and urban areas especially in low lying and poor drainage locations will be possible where locally very heavy rainfall occurs. Locations that have already received substantial rain over the past few days will be particularly vulnerable.
Original story: Saturday will be stormy in Connecticut as flood advisories, watches and even warnings have been issued for the state as strong to potentially severe thunderstorms will roll through brining downpours, strong wind gusts, and there is even a concern about tornadoes in parts of the state.
The stormy weather should exit the state by 9 p.m. tonight, which clears the way for a sunny Sunday. At 821 AM EDT, radar indicated heavy showers and isolated thunderstorms along a line extending from near Berlin to Killingworth. Movement was northeast at 40 mph.
Winds in excess of 40 mph are possible with these storms.
Locations impacted include...Meriden, Middletown, Wallingford, Norwich, Guilford, Colchester,
Clinton, East Hampton, Durham, Salem, Chester, North Branford, Cromwell, Portland and East Haddam.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms, and may cause localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.

Southwest wind around 6 mph becoming calm after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Patchy fog before 10am. Otherwise, sunny, with a high near 90. Light and variable wind becoming southwest around 5 mph in the afternoon.
