CT Weather: Severe Thunderstorms Likely Friday, Rain Saturday AM
Connecticut saw its ninth tornado since May earlier this week and more severe weather is in the forecast. Here are the stormy details.

It's been a few days so that means we're due for a storm and that is what we're going to get over the next two days, including part of Saturday. Severe thunderstorms are in the forecast, especially for Friday night and early Saturday. Another two inches of rain and gusty wind is also expected from late Thursday through Saturday morning.
The National Weather Service says, "Unsettled weather will continue on Friday with showers. Some showers may be locally heavy for a brief time with a few thunderstorms possible. The winds will be gusty at times out of the south and southwest with temperatures in the middle 60s to near 70."
"An area of low pressure will form along the frontal boundary for Friday night into Saturday morning bringing another round of wet weather. Behind the departing low pressure system on Saturday drier air will return during the afternoon bringing any rain to an end. The winds will become gusty out of the northwest throughout the afternoon and into the evening. By later Saturday night cooler air and more seasonable temperatures will return for the second half of the weekend." There is a risk for an isolated severe thunderstorm tomorrow evening. Gusty winds would be the primary threat but (of course, it's 2018) we can't rule out an isolated tornado. #nbcct pic.twitter.com/T3CrjnqcFs

We get to hang on to those mild temps Friday but we add occasional showers and thunder to the mix. Chance for an isolated severe storm in the afternoon/evening. The heaviest rain is likely Friday night into early Saturday morning. Gusty winds during that time as well. pic.twitter.com/uwSBRAUugv
