Weekend Outlook via National Weather Service:
As post-tropical storm Michael races away from its position south of Long Island early this morning, rain across eastern Long Island and Connecticut will come to an end, and north to northwest winds will gust to 40 to 45 mph this morning. These winds should diminish through the afternoon, while skies become mostly sunny and temperatures remain on the cool side, rising back to the 60s this afternoon.
A weak disturbance will move in quickly from the west for late tonight into Saturday morning with the likelihood of some showers, then skies will clear again for Saturday afternoon and night as high pressure builds in from the west.
