Stolen Car From NY Recovered In Greenwich: Police

Police said they arrested a 31-year-old man on Feb. 7.

GREENWICH, CT — Greenwich police said they recovered a stolen car out of New York City on Wednesday and arrested a New Jersey man.

On Feb. 7 around 8:30 a.m., several Greenwich police units responded to the Mobil gas station on East Putnam Avenue on a report of a possible stolen car parked in the area, according to an arrest report.

Officers contacted the reported owner of the car and confirmed it was stolen out of Queens, N.Y., police said.

The driver of the car, identified as Karon Hannah, 31, of Passaic, N.J., was taken into custody and refused to speak with officers or give his name, police noted.

Hannah was later charged with first-degree larceny and interfering with an officer, his arrest report shows. Hannah was unable to post a $500,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Stamford Superior Court on Feb. 21.
