CT Weather: Rainy Today, Better News For Memorial Day Weekend
After today's stormy weather, there will be some big changes to the forecast for Connecticut.

After a day of no rain, we're back at it today as rain moves in late this morning, early afternoon and Connecticut could even see a thunderstorm or two as well. While today's weather may be unsettled, and a reminder of what we've been dealing with for some time concerning the abundance of rain lately, there is some good news in the forecast too.
Wednesday, Thursday and Friday look great, plenty of sun and comfortable temps. Even the news for the Memorial Day Weekend forecast looks better than it did a couple of days ago. Saturday still looks like the best day if you're planning a barbecue but the chance of rain for both Sunday and Memorial Day has dropped to less than 50 percent, though lots of clouds are still forecast.
As for today's weather, the National Weather Service says, "Showers will overspread the area this morning with chances for rain and possibly a few rumbles of thunder late this afternoon and tonight ahead of the cold front. The rain, abundant cloud cover and an onshore wind flow will result considerably cooler high temperatures as compared to yesterday. Highs will only be in the 60s.

"High pressure then builds in behind the cold front on Wednesday with sunshine returning and temperatures generally rising into the upper 70s to low 80s."
