Teen Cited After Intoxicated Greenwich Girl Sent to Hospital
The incident occurred at the Darien fireworks celebration.

A juvenile was cited after he allegedly gave alcohol to a female juvenile who consequently became severely intoxicated, according to police.
Police were at the Darien fireworks celebration at the high school on July 3 and were investigating details about youths drinking. They found several youths near the tennis courts while clearing out the area.
One 17-year-old girl from Greenwich was severely intoxicated and had vomited. She was taken to Stamford Hospital.

Police determined that a 17-year-old boy gave the girl alcohol. They found a backpack with plastic cups and a bottle of Dewars White Label that was nearly empty.
The 17-year-old teen from Darien was given a juvenile referral for giving a minor alcohol and possession of alcohol.
