CT Weather: Showers, Storms Possible Today, Then Warmup Begins
Here is a look at when to expect a chance of stormy weather in Connecticut and after that some big weather changes on the way.

We've been enjoying some nice weather over the past several days and that will change today as there will be more clouds than sun, and there is a concern that some showers and thunderstorms may pop up this afternoon and evening in Connecticut.
Some areas of the state could see thunderstorms and gusty wind this afternoon/evening while other areas will just see rain showers off and on throughout the day. Once the rainy/stormy weather rolls by we'll notice temps significantly on the rise as we head into the Father's Day weekend.
This weekend still looks amazing with nothing but sunshine and temps in the 80s.

The National Weather Service says for today, "Showers will overspread the region this morning, moving east this afternoon. High temperatures will be closer to average... As a trailing cold front approaches, there will be a chance for a few gusty thunderstorms ... this evening into tonight, with mainly a few showers farther east.
"Skies will clear late tonight in the wake of the cold front, with overnight lows in the mid 50 to mid 60s. Thursday will be a dry, breezy and warm day between the departing frontal system and high pressure building to the west," the weather service states.

This is the only day you'll need an umbrella all week! Muggy with scattered showers Wednesday. Best chance for a thunderstorm will be at night. Then it's back to a stretch of sunshine with a warming trend. pic.twitter.com/FUosl8rhRj
