Woman Had 'Long History Of Deception And Evictions': Greenwich Police
Police said a 43-year-old Greenwich woman was arrested and charged with first-degree larceny and issuing a bad check over $2,000.
GREENWICH, CT — Police said a Greenwich woman who was recently arrested and charged with first-degree larceny and issuing a bad check over $2,000 "had a long history of deception and evictions" within town.
Caitlin Moran Hayes, 43, turned herself in on an active arrest warrant on July 24, police said in an arrest report.
The warrant stems from an incident on April 17 in which Greenwich police units responded to a home on Dwight Lane on a report of a landlord-tenant dispute, police said.

Police said an investigation showed that Hayes issued two checks — one for $15,000 and another for $13,000 — which were later returned for insufficient funds "after entering into a lease agreement and establishing residence within the dwelling."
After a lengthy investigation, an arrest warrant was granted from Stamford Superior Court on July 19 with a bond of $50,000.

Police said in Hayes' arrest report that her "long history of deception and evictions" had cost "numerous landlords potential rental income and incurring legal fees."
Hayes was released from custody after posting bond, police said. She's scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 7.
