YMCA of Greenwich Marlins Participating in Swim Across America
YMCA swimmers raising funds for Swim Across America.

The YMCA of Greenwich Marlins Swim Team will have a strong presence at the upcoming Swim Across America Greenwich-Stamford Open Water Swim on June 27th.
Marlins Coach, Connie Wu and over 20 of the Greenwich Aquatics athletes have already raised an impressive $9,134 and still have 2 weeks to go for fundraising.
The swim is an annual fundraising event to support the Alliance for Cancer Gene Therapy, which is the nation’s only foundation dedicated exclusively to funding cancer gene therapy research. Participants of all ages and skill levels choose their open-water distance (1/2 mile, 1.5 mile, or a 3-mile) and seek sponsorships from family and friends for their efforts. Organizers hope to raise $400,000 from the swim to beat last year’s total of $350,000.
