Body Found Floating In Thames River Still Unidentified
Still no ID on body of an Asian man in his 30s found floating in the Thames River Saturday, despite a national search of missing persons.

GROTON CITY, CT—Despite a national search, Groton City police detectives haven't been able to identify the man whose body was found floating in the Thames River Saturday. Groton City police told Patch Tuesday that investigators have reached out to local and regional police and have run the man's description though a national database and came up empty. Now, detectives are asking for the public's help.
The body of an Asian male aged 30 to 40 was spotted by a boater around 6:30 p.m., Groton City Police Sgt. Steven Smith said Saturday. Police recovered the man's body shortly after in the river under the Gold Star Bridge.
Sgt. Patricia Lieteau said Sunday the body had likely been in the water for an extended period of time. Police said Tuesday that it's likely the man's body floated from up-river.
