Body Found Near Groton Marina Identified: Report
Police said a body that was recovered near a Groton marina last week has been identified.

GROTON, CT — Police said a body that was recovered near Spicer's Marina in Groton last week has been identified, according to media reports.
According to News 8, police responded to the marina on May 30 around 11:30 a.m. after receiving reports of a body located in the water outside the marina. Authorities said Monday the deceased has been identified as Kenneth Johnsen, 66, of Des Moines, Iowa.

At the time the body was discovered, police said the death did not appear suspicious, according to the New London Day. Police also said the body was not believed to be related to the boaters who went missing near Groton or the kayaker who went missing in Old Saybrook.
The death remains under investigation, according to News 8.
