Dead Man In Armed Groton Standoff Identified: Report
The man had barricaded himself in his home before his death.

GROTON, CT — Thirty-five-year-old James Bangura has been identified as the man who barricaded himself in his Orion Avenue home in Groton Tuesday night and died Wednesday following a 17-hour armed standoff with police, writes WFSB-TV.
According to authorities, Bangura apparently died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the torso, according to the television station.
No other injuries were reported, and Bangura's wife and children were removed from the home before the standoff with police.
