Man Charged In Fatal Groton Pub Shooting Case Offered Plea Deal
The state has extended a plea offer to a man charged with shooting Joey Gingerella outside a Groton pub late last year.

GROTON, CT - The state has extended a plea offer to a man charged with shooting 24-year old Joey Gingerella outside a Groton pub late last year, the New London Day reported. The suspect is expected to inform court officials whether he accepts or rejects the offer on September 29.
Dante A. Hughes has been incarcerated since he was arrested two days after the shooting occurred on December 11, 2016, in the parking lot of Ryan's Pub on Fort Hill Road, according to the New London Day. Police said he has been charged with murder, as well as assault and breach of peace.

Hughes would plead guilty to the murder if he accepts the deal and be sentenced at a later date, the New London Day reported. Should he reject the offer, the case will go to trial in New London.
