Grasso Technical High School, 20-year-old plumber Charles Goede, is headed to Shanghai this month to represent the United States in the WorldSkills plumbing and heating competition. • USS Iowa holds change of command ceremony (oskynews.org) — A recent change-of-command ceremony for the new fast-attack submarine USS Iowa took place aboard the Historic Ship Nautilus at the Submarine Force Museum in Groton, highlighting the town's central role in the Navy's undersea fleet.
