Project Oceanology Celebrating 40 Years

Project Oceanology is celebrating 40 years of hands-on marine science education with an Open House on April 27th from 11:00 to 3:00 at Project Oceanology, on the University of Connecticut Avery Point Campus in Groton, CT.

All are welcome to join free festivities starting at 11:00 with welcoming speakers including friends and supporters of Project O throughout the first 40 years. Hands-on marine science activities will begin at 12:00. Follow a treasure map to a variety of marine science stations throughout Project O’s labs, shoreline and boats. Participants will experience sea creatures first hand, learn the ins and outs of squid, search for crabs, test the salinity of Long Island Sound and paint with a fish! There will be giveaways, and special offers for summer camp.
