Teen Arrested In Violent Groton Home Invasion Case: Police

Police said a teenager has been arrested in connection to a recent Groton home invasion​, during which a woman was struck with a bat.

GROTON, CT - Police said a teenager has been arrested in connection to a violent home invasion that occurred Wednesday night in Groton, as reported by News 8. A woman was assaulted with a baseball bat during the incident, police said.

Police said the suspect has not been identified due to him being a minor, according to News 8. He has been charged with home invasion, robbery, larceny and assault. Police said the woman who was struck was in her late 40's or early 50's, according to News 8. She was treated at Lawrence and Memorial Hospital, and has already been released, police said.
