Amtrak: ID of Guilford Train Fatality Not Yet Determined

The person was killed at about 8:25 a.m. on April 29.

GUILFORD, CT - Officials have not yet confirmed positive identification of the person who was killed by an Amtrak train in Guilford on April 29.

An Amtrak spokesperson told Patch today, May 5, that the Medical Examiner's office was still conducting its investigation. No time frame was given for its conclusion.

The person was struck by an Acela train along Shore Line East at about 8:25 a.m. No other injuries were reported.

Additional details were not available, but the spokesperson said that the incident did not appear to have been accidental.
