Clerk Refuses Armed Robber's Demands, Police Search for Suspect
Guilford police are asking for your assistance in helping them to solve this attempted armed robbery.
Guilford police are asking for your help in solving an attempted armed robbery that occurred at 1:25 a.m. Tuesday at the Xtramart at 1675 Boston Post Road.
Police say the suspect, who is described as a black male in his 20s, 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighing 150-170 pounds and wearing a ski mask, entered the store and displayed a black semi-automatic handgun and demanded the clerk open the safe.
When the clerk refused the suspect fled in a Nissan Altima, possibly gray or green, westbound on Route 1, police said.
