Guilford Youth and Family Services, Women and Family Life Center and The Guilford Free Library present:
The documentary Miss Representation, by Jennifer Siebel Newsom, premiered at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival, and aired on OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network. It explores how the media’s misrepresentations of women have led to the under-representation of women in positions of power and influence. Following the screening will be a discussion moderated by Abby Lipschutz, Clinical Psychologist and Lori Accuosti, Licensed Clinical Social Worker. This film is suitable for viewers age 12 and up.
