Guilford Fire and Animal Shelter Staff Rescue Crow Caught In Fishing Line
A ladder truck was key in rescuing the crow.

Written and shared by Guilford Police Animal Shelter
"We had an interesting rescue today, assisted by the wonderful Guilford Fire Department. A crow became entangled in fishing line about 25-30 feet up a tree in Chittenden Park. With the assistance of a ladder truck and GFD, we were able to cut the crow free (and get as much of the fishing line out of the tree as we could see).
The crow is now with the amazing folks at A Place Called Hope with an optimistic outlook and receiving proper care. Hopefully, the crow will be able to be released back into the park soon. This serves as a stark reminder of the importance of properly disposing of fishing line. The hook was also still attached to the line and could have easily hurt a child or animal. Leaving trash around can have deadly consequences for local wildlife."
