Guilford Officials to Hold Public Discussion on Having Schools Open on Veterans Day

Officials are looking to start a conversation on the topic and any changes would not be made until 2016.

The topic of whether schools should be open on Veterans Day will be discussed at the Nov. 10 Board of Education meeting, Jack Kramer reports from The Guilford Courier.

The meeting will be held at 7:30 p.m. in the Guilford High School Library. Currently, schools in the town are closed on Veterans Day.

According to the paper, officials are considering whether schools should hold educational programs on Veterans Day like other school districts in the area rather than having regular classes.
