Harry Connick Jr. said Fradiani continues to look more and more comfortable each week on stage.

“It’s the most comfortable performance you’ve given,” Connick said. “You really sang the hell out of it. You sang it great. I really enjoyed it.”

Keith Urban said there is no doubt Fradiani is peaking in the competition and getting better each week.

“You have incredible killer instinct,” Urban told Nick. “You keep going up and up. You’re getting stronger and better.”

Jennifer Lopez said Nick is singing with such amazing energy and everyone can “feel the energy in the room.”

“You’re at your best,” Lopez said. “I can’t wait for you to watch this (performance). You’ll love it.”

By finishing in the top 5, Nick is at least assured of going out on tour with the remaining Idol finalists.

Before Wednesday’s live show Nick wrote the following on social media.

“Another show day! We’re really getting down to the home stretch here. Only 5 of us left! I just want everyone to know that whatever happens tonight, my life has been changed for the better because of this show. Your support has been truly amazing, and I still can’t believe I’m in the position I’m in. So thank you from the bottom of my heart. Now let’s go rock it tonight!!,” Fradiani wrote.

When Nick returns to Guilford on Friday he’ll be playing with his Milford bandmates, Beach Avenue.

“Make sure to watch American Idol tonight and see if our lead singer Nick Fradiani makes it into the Top 4! If he does then all you CT residents will get to enjoy a FREE concert from Nick in his hometown of Guilford, CT and you may recognize the other guys on stage performing with him. And keep getting all those votes in for Nick! ‪#‎americanidol‬ ‪#‎nickfradiani‬,” Beach Avenue wrote on Facebook.
