GUILFORD, CT – Average enrollment in elementary school classes in Guilford this year is 18.1 students, which is down from last year’s 18.5 average. That information was given to the Board of Education by Superintendent of Schools Dr. Paul Freeman at the school board’s most recent meeting, right before the start of the school year.
Freeman reported the distribution of students is “not as clean across the district,” noting that enrollment is higher in some areas, such as third grade at Leete, and lower in other, such as kindergarten at Cox.
