School Start Times Debated in Guilford
Changing the start time at one school could impact several other district programs, officials said.

The Guilford Public Schools is considering moving the start time at Guilford High School back 30 to 50 minutes, but it’s a very complicated issue, the Guilford Courier reports.
Currently, the High School begins at 7:25 a.m. And almost everyone agrees that high school students perform better academically with more sleep.
But to move the start time for the high school to later in the morning, it would lead to a domino effect which would impact busing, after-school and before school programs, the Courier reports.
