Some Guilford Parents Express Health Concerns Over Proposed New Turf Field

The Guilford High School Building Committee has voted to add a new multi-purpose turf field at the high school.

Now school officials want to add a second multi-purpose turf field, which has drawn concerns from some parents.

Numerous parents attended a Guilford High School Building Committee Tuesday night to express health concerns over turf fields, the New Haven Register reports.

One parent said her son fell on the football field and some rubber pellets got into his mouth and he became ill, the Register reports.

But school officials said no one has filed a complaint over the football field over any health issues.
