2 Hospitalized After Cars Crash Into House In Hamden

Officials say a tree on the side of the house absorbed most of the impact and helped prevent a possible rupture to a gas line.

HAMDEN, CT — Two people were hospitalized after two cars crashed into a house in Hamden over the weekend, according to fire officials. Crews responded to a two-car collision at Helen Street and Langer Street at about 8:30 a.m. on March 16. Officials said two people were treated for injuries by the Hamden Fire Department and taken to hospitals by ambulance.

“Luckily, the tree on the side of the house absorbed most of the impact of the vehicles, preventing damage to the house and a possible rupture to a gas line,” officials said in a post on Facebook. “Units on the response: E2, R2, HPD, AMR, Gas company, Hamden building official.”
