2 Houses Struck During Gunfire In Hamden: Police
Two people were shooting at each other after a vehicle crashed into a stone wall Sunday night in Hamden, according to police.
HAMDEN, CT — Two houses were struck during gunfire between a person who was walking and someone from a vehicle that had crashed Sunday night in Hamden, according to police.
Police responded to the area of Blue Hills Avenue and Noble Court around 6:30 p.m. on July 17 on reports of shots fired and a single-vehicle car accident, according to Detective Sean J. Dolan.
Witnesses told police that there was an exchange of gunfire between a person walking and an occupant of a vehicle that crashed at the intersection into a residential stone wall, according to Dolan.

One of the suspects fled in a small, blue SUV toward Chester Street after the shooting, Dolan said.
Dolan said two houses that were occupied were struck during the gunfire. None of the occupants inside the homes were injured, according to Dolan.

There were no reported injuries of anyone struck during the shooting, Dolan said.
Detectives from the Major Crimes Unit and Crime Scene Unit responded to the scene. Ballistic evidence was recovered and police are following up on several leads, Dolan said.
