2nd Arrest Made In Armed Robbery Of Teen: Hamden Police
A 17-year-old victim was robbed at gunpoint and assaulted by two acquaintances, according to police.

HAMDEN, CT — Police have made a second arrest in connection to the recent armed robbery and assault of a 17-year-old Hamden resident. At about 8 p.m. on Oct. 11, Hamden Police responded to the area of Dixwell Avenue and Woodin Street on the report of an armed street robbery, according to Capt. Ronald Smith.
Smith said investigation revealed that a 17-year-old Hamden resident, walked into an "alley way" with two acquaintances. One of his acquaintances "pulled out a black handgun" and placed it into his stomach and they then stole his cellphone and credit cards, according to Smith.

A 17-year-old Hamden resident was arrested shortly after the incident and police made a second arrest on Oct. 23. The New Haven Police Department detained a 17-year-old Hamden resident on the strength of an arrest warrant, according to Smith.
Hamden Police subsequently took custody of the juvenile and placed him under arrest. He was charged with first-degree robbery, conspiracy to commit first-degree robbery, second-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit second-degree larceny. The juvenile was taken to the Bridgeport Juvenile Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in Juvenile Court in New Haven on Nov. 6.
