3 Charged With Home Invasion In Hamden: Police
Police say a 20-year-old resident was assaulted and robbed during a home invasion.
HAMDEN, CT — Three women have been arrested in connection to a home invasion Monday night in Hamden in which a female resident was assaulted and several items were stolen, according to police. At about 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 23, police responded to a Lexington Street address on the report of a “fight in progress,” according to Capt. Ronald Smith.
The 20-year-old resident told police that three women forced entry into her home and one of them assaulted her. She received several injuries, including an injury to her forehead, eye, neck and wrist, according to Smith. The women stole several items, including a wallet, money and marijuana, Smith said.
Moments later, Sgt. William Onofrio found the three women on Rochford Avenue and they were arrested and taken to police headquarters, according to Smith.

Brianna Frederick, 21, of Sherman Avenue in New Haven, was charged with home invasion, conspiracy to commit home invasion, second-degree robbery, conspiracy to commit second-degree robbery, second-degree larceny, conspiracy to commit second-degree larceny, third-degree criminal mischief and third-degree assault. Frederick was detained on a $5,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Meriden Superior Court on Oct. 3.
Yvonne Kelley, 26, of Waverly Street in New Haven, was charged with home invasion, conspiracy to commit home invasion, second-degree robbery, conspiracy to commit second-degree robbery, second-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit second-degree larceny. Kelley was detained on a $5,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Meriden Superior Court on Oct 3.

Kiyesha Smith, 21, of Cedarhill Street in New Haven, was charged with home invasion, conspiracy to commit home invasion, second-degree robbery, conspiracy to commit second-degree robbery, second-degree larceny, conspiracy to commit second-degree larceny, interfering with a police officer and possession of marijuana. Smith, who was detained on a $5,000 bond, is scheduled to appear in Meriden Superior Court on Oct. 3. In addition, Smith was arrested on the strength of two outstanding warrants, originating from New Haven.
