4 Arrested On Warrants During Click It Or Ticket: Hamden Police
Hamden Police announce the results of its recent "Click-It-Or-Ticket" campaign.
HAMDEN, CT — Hamden Police issued more than 200 infractions and arrested four people who were wanted on warrants during its recently completed “Click It or Ticket” high-visibility seat belt enforcement campaign. Enforcement efforts began on May 20 and concluded on May 24, according to Capt. Ronald Smith. Funding for the program was granted by the Connecticut Department of Transportation Highway Safety Office.
Smith said police issued 208 infractions for seat belt violations. Officers additionally issued four infractions and four misdemeanor summonses for various motor vehicle violations. Police also arrested four motorists who were wanted on arrest warrants, according to Smith.
“The Hamden Police Department would like to reiterate the importance of wearing a seat belt,” Smith said. “Our officers have witnessed, first-hand, that seat belts save lives.”
